Everyday Grooves
About the Album
Everyday Grooves is a great collection of short pop tunes that helps families set routine and create structure to their day. Familiar things like brushing teeth, getting dressed, taking a bath, going to bed, and saying thanks or good-bye are set to groovy music with catchy lyrics. These gems are great for all ages, and offer musical support to families from sun up to sun down.
Written by award-winning composer and songwriter Adam Blau, EVERYDAY GROOVES is a project done in collaboration with the Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children's Media at Saint Vincent College. These short pop songs (one to two minutes max) are performed by five different vocalists and are intended to encourage routines in the everyday lives of kids 3 to 5 years old through words and music.
Everyday Grooves more than lives up to its name — these groovy, bite-size song nuggets punctuate the daily routines of kids in an engaging way. The songs are well crafted (written mostly in a contemporary pop/R&B vein) and help kids navigate through transitions by aurally visualizing their day. Standout tracks include "Brush Your Teeth," "Get Ready, Let's Go," "Tell Me What You Love About Me," "I'm Thankful," "Clean Up," and "Take a Bath."
